My LinkedIn commentary looks beyond the token itself to the infrastructure required for a payment business to use it.
Wallet operations, custody arrangements, provider connections, liquidity, compliance workflows, and settlement evidence shape the usable product. Each boundary needs clear authority and a recovery path.

The application must reconcile on-chain movements with its internal ledger and the off-chain provider outcome. A token transfer does not by itself establish that the beneficiary received the intended local payment.
The engineering question is where the rail improves the business workflow, what dependencies it introduces, and how the complete transaction remains explainable.
